Welcome to the Ricktan Monarchy High Service Command. Please indicate your educational background and training. (set: $hasmilitary to false) (set: $hasscientist to false) (set: $hasdiplomatic to false) [[Military Service|military]] You were always intrigued by the lifestyle of a soldier and their place in Richtkan society. As soon as you were old enough, your father allowed you to study at the Royal Military Academy where you proved yourself an intuitive tactician. Ever since graduation, you have slowly moved up the ranks of the Army’s ground combat division. Never yet losing a skirmish to the Shatli, every soldier under your command feels safe and cared for. [[Scientific Service|scientist]] As a teenager, you would spend your days snooping around the labs of the Ricktkan Monarchy’s research wing. The pursuit of technology and innovation has always fascinated you. After a long-term apprenticeship with Dr. Khant- your father’s head of research- you were stationed under Brigadier General Krell as his chief tech officer. [[Diplomatic Service|diplomatic]] Growing up in the Royal Court, your favorite childhood activity was silently sitting in and admiring your father’s work at parliamentary hearings. This also spawned a passion for cultural anthropology. Naturally, a career in public service was always in your future. You have become a diplomatic commodity for the Richtkans and are even respected by the Shitali. Currently, you serve as Captain of the Civil Affairs Infantry Regiment. (set: $hasmilitary to true) You are sitting in your private office within the Ricktkan fortress overlooking the Shitali city of Tarkiff. Your computer begins to ring with a communication request from Dinah- your sister. (set: $hasmilitary to true) [[Answer the call|answerdinah]] [[Let it ring|dontanswer]](set: $hasscientist to true) You begin in the makeshift battlefield labs of the Richtkan fortress outside the Shitali Army stronghold of Tarkiff. Your boss and mentor Dr. Khant is testing a new Rami-powered service rifle with your assistance. Civil Affairs Officer Krauss silently walks in and let’s you finish the test. You grab hold of the rifle and aim it down the testing range. [[Fire the rifle!|fire]] [[Tell your boss it may be too early to test fire.|smart]](set: $hasdiplomatic to true) You begin in your private office within a Richtkan military base outside of Tarkff, a Shitali Army stronghold. Civi Officer Krauss enters your tent with a message from your sister in the capital city. The flooding of the Capital outskirts is getting worse. All of this in the midst of a planetary war. Krauss infroms you that the Soveriegn- your father- requests your presence in his quarters at once. [[Accompany Officer Krauss to your father's quarters|fatherd]]Dinah tells you about the massive floods happening in the capital city and the flux of inpatients being taken into hospitals across the country. She asks how Father is doing, but the conversation is cut short when General Musaryn comes in. The Sovereign-your father- requests your presence in his quarters. [[Accompany the General to your Father|fatherm]] You let the call ring out. You are in no mood to deal with Family during this time of war. But there is a knock on your Door. General Musaryn lets himself into your office. The Sovereign-your father- requests your presence in his quarters. [[Accompany the General to your Father|fatherm]] Entering your father’s quarters, you find him coughing sick in bed surrounded by Civil Affairs Officer Kraus and Dr. Lestro Khant. While Khant takes a blood sample, Officer Krauss informs the Sovereign of the massive flooding in the capital city and the increasing numbers of soldiers and citizens with symptoms like his. At the sight of you and the General, he asks everyone else to leave. General Musaryn lets him know that everything is in place for today's offensive. Pleased, your father waves the General off and smiles up at you. The time has come for you to take his place as Sovereign of the Richtkan Monarchy. What say you? [[you are honored and humbly accept the respsonibility|responsible]] [[you never liked his job and decline the position|decline]]The test is a success. The rifle's hot slugs destroy the target. But the barrel gets so hot in one shot that it melts right through the metal and burns your hand. [[ouch]]Dr. Khant trusts your instincts. You put the rifle down for another time with more pressing matters to attend to. Officer Kraus informs you that Sovereign Gustakh-your father- requests both of you see him in his quarters. Dr. Khant heads there immediately, but Krauss stops you. He has a message from your sister in the Capital city. Flooding has hit the city hard. On top of that, the number of inpatients around Richtka with similar symptoms to your father’s illness has been on the rise. [[Accompany Officer Krauss to your Father's quarters.|fathers]]Dr. Khant treats your minor wound while Officer Kraus informs you that Sovereign Gustakh-your father- requests both of you see him in his quarters. Secret peace negotiations have been put into place with the Shitali army’s 2nd in command, Viceroy Hewt. In order for them to work, this final battle has to end in the death of warmongering Shitali General Scheisse in Tarkiff. [[Prepare for battle|tutorial]]You have never seen such dissapointment and pain from your Father. You arrive to find him coughing sick in bed as Dr. Khant pulls a blood sample from his arm. The doctor informs him that several soldiers on the base are showing the same symptoms that he is. At the sight of you three, he asks the doctor to leave. The Sovereign asks Officer Krauss for the report from the capital. He sighs at the bad news and asks him to leave. Before you have time to think, the ship’s alarm is raised. Scanners have picked up a dreadnaught size unknown craft which quickly comes out of hyperspace and grabs the Expedition Carrier ship in a tractor beam, sucking it into a dock within its own ship. Before anyone can begin to speculate who these hostiles are, a drone cuts a hole straight through your ship’s hull to reach you. Just as it is doing to the people of Pensia, Vassire, and Byrus, The Rami disease caused a genocidal black plague that killed off 55% of Namotto’s population. Before it could wipe them out, Namottan scientists were actually able to find a cure and energy alternative to Rami, once they were able, they launched a surprise attack on the alien species they deemed responsible for the loss of life. They took over their government and provided them with the clean alternative to Rami and a cure to the disease.
